Stephen Richards

Stephen Richards is a partner and landscape architect with over 25 years’ UK and international experience in the design and delivery of high quality public realms and landscapes for a cross-sector of projects.

With a particular interest and aptitude for streetscape composition, residential public realms, green roofs and public squares, Stephen has delivered a raft of unique landscapes in the UK and internationally, with his landmark project, the RIBA Stirling shortlisted NEO Bankside, referred to by industry critics as ‘some of the best new landscaping in London’.

At the centre of his design approach is an interest in the relationship between people and nature - and in particular, how to cultivate this relationship in urban environments – a principle that resonates throughout his portfolio, which includes the Sky Garden at 20 Fenchurch Street, the elevated park over Canary Wharf Crossrail Station, and ATRIO, a major plaza in Bogota, Colombia.
