Oxford Public Realm Strategy
The City Council's objective for Oxford's historic centre is to transform the traffic congested core area and create a safe and civilised environment which can be enjoyed by residents, visitors and the city workforce alike.
The Public Realm Strategy seeks to ensure the introduction of high quality solutions that are appropriate for the city's international reputation. The study makes recommendations regarding urban design, hard and soft landscape materials, street furniture, signage, public art as well as issues relating to phasing and funding.
