Darlington Central Park Masterplan

Darlington is the gateway to the whole of the Tees Valley and benefits greatly from its superior train connections.

The sizeable area to be developed currently consists mostly of scrubland with a council depot and allotments but under detailed proposals from Gillespies this area will be transformed into a vibrant mixed-use destination.  Bold and imaginative, the plans will use the transport connections as a feature.  In sharp contrast to most railway frontages the East Coast Main line, which runs along the site, will be utilised as a window to the thirty thousand rail passengers who pass through every day.
