Town Centre Squares, Crewe

Like many smaller towns in the UK the retail fortunes of Crewe has been in decline and battered by competition from neighbouring cities.

The Council decided to fight back and with Gillespies as lead designer they plan to invest in new public realm improvements. Focused on the town's two main squares these improvements will herald a new era providing a step change in public realm quality, to make a more attractive place to live, work and visit.
