Paddington Basin, London

Working with a distinguished team, Gillespies was tasked with producing public realm proposals as part of the masterplan for some nine hundred thousand feet of residential and commercial floor space.

This major development occupies a key position in London capitalising upon the Paddington to Heathrow transportation node and acting as a catalyst for wider regeneration. The feasibility and returns from a range of options have been explored to support the planning application. Working closely with the architects, public realm designs for implementation throughout the Basin have been developed. This includes the selection of appropriate paving materials, street furniture, lighting and soft landscaping.
