Three Houses, River Lane, Petersham

The practice has created three highly individual gardens, for three award winning houses by acclaimed architects Terry Farrell and Partners.

Situated on a constricted site off a shared public entrance road, the planning authorities called for a low rise, low visual impact development to sit within the existing mature trees. The architects responded with three pavilion like dwellings forming a strong architectural grouping yet able to maintain a detached feel with total individual privacy. The  landscape design makes a creative distinction between public and private space and ensures seclusion for the occupants whilst complementing the distinctive architectural style.

Each garden, contained within a separate courtyard space, is made up of a palette of limestone, slate and timber to reflect the quality of the internal finishes and ensure a seamless transition between inside and outside space.
