Ipswich Hospital

Working alongside Nightingale Associates, Gillespies has produced designs for the new Garrett Anderson Centre in Ipswich Hospital on behalf of the Ipswich NHS Trust.

The proposed building sits within the existing hospital campus and a key driver behind the design is the integration of the new facility with the existing site infrastructure. Car and bus drop-off areas have been configured in order that a new plaza could be created in front of the building that provides both a setting for the facility as well as an open space resource for the staff and visitors. Planting will be used to frame views to the facility and provide seasonal interest.
