Greater Peterborough Hospital

The NHS is currently undertaking the largest capital building programme in its history.

NHS Estates' work plan makes clear the importance of creating a high quality, appropriate environment
for healthcare provision. As part of a private finance initiative project, Gillespies has prepared landscape designs for this major re-development of Peterborough Hospital. The consortium is led by Multiplex Construction with Nightingale Associates acting as lead architects. 

The landscape proposals aim to provide a series of environments that respond directly to functional requirements of the new hospital but also create opportunities for interaction, recreation and therapy.
The establishment of a centrally placed major public open space aims to unite the complex and provide
a framework for future development.
