Magazine Redevelopment, De Montfort University, Leicester

A major new public square and streetscape is planned for De Montfort University in Leicester.

Set between Leicester‘s retail heart and the University quarter, the plans propose the replacement of a busy five-lane highway with the new pedestrian square being centred around the historic Magazine Gateway and scheduled ancient monument, which is currently marooned in a traffic island.
