William Basterfield, Associate
University of Gloucester graduate William has worked for Gillespies for over six years on a range of projects with a public realm design focus.
William has developed his project management and design skills over a variety of challenging schemes including the regeneration of Walsall Civic Quarter.
He draws inspiration from many sources to ensure the client brief is realised and public requirements are fully integrated into meaningful, deliverable design proposals that are appropriate for the local context. He has a keen interest in all stages of design including developing strong client visions, providing clear design solutions, cost control and management of construction information that seeks to deliver on the approved vision. William was the landscape architect for the ‘Three Ways School' in Bath that was awarded an ‘inspirational design' award by the British Council for School Environments.
