Tom Barnsley, Associate
Tom has gained a broad range of experience of working for the public and private sectors since he joined Gillespies in 2001.
At Paddington Basin, Tom worked to produce a masterplan and implement new civic spaces which transformed the area from a derelict site to an award-winning canal side development. The Pfizer Global Research Campus was completed in 2003, a project Tom carried through from competition winning entry to implementation on site. Whilst the brief was a challenging one, a creative solution has led to a rich and varied courtyard space being created which encompasses the Pfizer organisation's interest in importing some of the characteristics of Japanese garden design.
Tom trained in Sheffield and has been based in the south of England since graduation, working first for Gillespies in Oxford and latterly from the London office.
Current Projects: One Hyde Park (London), Milk Street (London) Recent Projects: Paddington Basin (London), Pfizer (Kent), Centro Midland Metro (Birmingham) Specialisms: Landscape Design, Masterplanning, Urban Realm Design, Implementation
