Two project wins at the New London Awards 2015

Alexandra Palace won a New London Award in the Public Buildings category and Aldgate Public Realm was commended in the Transport and Infrastructure category at the 2015 New London Awards. These awards recognise the very best new and proposed architecture, planning and development in the capital.

Peter Murray, Chairman of New London Architecture (NLA) wrote:

'The much-loved Alexandra Palace, in line for a welcome, light-touch, lottery-funded refurbishment, received the unbuilt prize, with the judges impressed with what promises to be a sensitive treatment of a much-loved part of London's history and built fabric. It's been waiting to happen for so long, it's just amazing that as a resource it has been left underused for thirty or forty years'

The designs for Alexandra Palace - supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund - will see the 1873 building's existing spaces restored and improvements made to the public realm to provide a unique state-of-the-art cultural space.
