Ranjit Matharu becomes the second member of Gillespies to become an ‘Ambassador for Landscape’

Ranjit Matharu, a Senior Landscape Architect at Gillespies’ London studio, has been awarded the title of 'Ambassador for Landscape' by the Landscape Institute. Ranjit joins Gillespies' Partner Tom Walker together with a raft of leading industry experts who are working to raise the profile of Landscape Architecture and inspire the next generation of Landscape Architects.

The Ambassador for Landscape scheme was set up by the Landscape Institute in response to the declining number of undergraduate students choosing landscape architecture courses, as well as the closure of two undergraduate courses at Kingston University and Manchester Metropolitan University. The Landscape Institute are now tackling this issue to ensure a good supply of future professionals and to educate the public about the importance of the profession.
