MediaCityUK in the running for 'Best Urban Regeneration Project' at the 2017 MIPIM Awards

MediaCityUK is one of four projects shortlisted in the ‘Best Urban Regeneration Project’ category at the 2017 MIPIM Awards. Established in 1991, the MIPIM Awards recognise the most outstanding and accomplished projects, completed or yet to be built, around the world.

Located at the Quays on Salford’s waterfront, MediaCityUK has transformed the derelict dockland site into a significant media hub — home to the BBC, ITV, dock 10 and Salford University together with more than 200 media businesses.

Gillespies designed all of the exterior and public realm spaces, including a large piazza, waterside and green parks for MediaCityUK - a globally significant digital media hub that regenerates a former brownfield dock site.
