Civic Trust Awards 2014: Gillespies designed the landscapes for three award-winning projects

This year's Civic Trust awards have recognised three projects where Gillespies designed the landscapes:

Brent Civic Centre in London received the coveted Civic Trust Award. Gillespies' landscape design for this BREEAM Outstanding project included the design of a unique garden for weddings and community events.

Coventry University's new Engineering and Computing Building (ECB) was recognised with a Commendation by the Civic Trust. Gillespies designed the public realm surrounding this innovative and environmentally-led facility. The designs by Gillespies provide the facility with a high quality urban space, and an ecological roof that supports a variety of plant life. More information

Rochdale's Number One Riverside development is the new premises for Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council. Gillespies delivered the landscape proposals for this flagship scheme that capitalises on the town's natural asset, the River Roch. The river is at the heart of the landscape design, and includes a section of publicly-accessible riverside walkway.
